Scott has been on staff at The Village Church since February of 2008. He is married to Lyn and the father of 5 amazing kids. In his spare time (that no longer exists), he enjoys landscaping, camping and really anything outside.
With over 10 years of ministry experience, Sarah and her team oversee strategic direction, evaluation, analysis, and solutions for the Summit’s ten campuses. She is the project manager for the implementation of RockRMS, serving as the liaison between Summit’s ministries, internal Rock development, and external development with BEMA Information Technologies.
Aimee operates under the "sleep, coffee, binge-watch, repeat" method. She and her husband spend most of their time hanging out with their son, Olsen, and their Aussiedoodle, Haverford. Aimee loves helping churches see the power of social media as a ministry tool. She likes to dream big, take on new challenges and find a way to add spontaneity into every day.
Blenda is the Membership Director at Houston's First Baptist Church, Married for 37 years with 2 children and 3 grandchildren, she worked as a software trainer for over 17 years. She loves helping people work smarter with technology.
Josh lives in Nashville, TN, with his wife and four kids. His interests are English history, ancient history, Sherlock Holmes and trivia leagues. His superpower is SQL.
Member of North Point for 20 years and staff member for the last nine years. Leads and supports team responsible for Rock, including strategic planning for Rock initiatives and day-to-day operational support of Rock to North Point’s 700 staff members. Passionately pursuing the easy exchange of information between attendees and staff at North Point, using the best technology accessible. Currently leveraging years of technology experience and years of ministry experience to serve the local church where his wife and kids are active.
Jon Edmiston is a senior leader of Spark, one of the core and original developers of Rock RMS, the technical architect, Rock community leader, and founding vision-caster of the Rock project. He approaches life with curiosity and a determination to deliver excellence. Connecting people through technology is just one of his passions, and he also carves out time to pursue karate and adventures with his family.
Matt Engel, married to his bride Denise, and blessed with their two children; serves as the Ministry Solutions Lead for Gloo, LLC. by providing operational and data understanding, application, integration, and strategic design elements using meta data, engagement platform and operational alignment. Formerly, he was a Senior Director and Adjunct Faculty Member at Arizona State University, both teaching within Enrollment Management and serving in that department. Success at ASU led to an invitation by Mission Community Church to Pastor and shepherd the rethinking and reshaping of approaches to ministry engagement and outreach using data and analytics to increase participation and engagement within and throughout the church for external outcomes and impact.
Emily is a senior leader of Spark. She enjoys working with the Rock community and Rock Partners, and tackles many of the operational aspects of running a non-profit, as well as moderating the RockCast podcast. She is passionate about understanding and connecting people, taking on the hard projects, traveling with her family and changing the world one smile at a time.
David has a passion for serving God’s people, and he uses his talents and knowledge to help staff at Vineyard Cincinnati Church learn and succeed with Rock. Prior to his current role at Vineyard Cincinnati, he was Information Systems Director at Christ Community Church in St. Charles, IL. David has a lovely wife and three beautiful children, and as an extreme multi tasker, loves to indulge in Chicago Deep Dish pizza while playing board games.
Frank is a military brat who claims Louisiana as his home state. He and his wife, Meagan, live in Anderson, SC, and love spending time with their 4 kids. Frank is an avid home brewer, loves reading, and thinks he’s a better golfer than he really is.
For over 10 years, DJ has served as youth pastor while also supporting Morgantown Community Church in many other roles. Over the last few months, he has been officially transitioning to operations pastor. For fun, DJ loves bike riding with his family, gardening, making things out of pallets, and drinking coffee.
Adam lives in Mount Joy, PA with his wife Amanda, and son Lincoln. He loves time with his family, learning new technologies, and most anything related to Transformers. He’s been on staff at LCBC Church for over 13 years and now serves as the Digital Director. Adam enjoys working with his team and other staff at LCBC to leverage technology to introduce more people to Jesus and together fully follow him.
Daniel has served at churches, working in various fields as part of Information Systems, for over 15 years. Currently working as a Software Developer designing community and custom functionality to Rock RMS. He enjoys using his gifts and talents to bring technology to ministries in ways that help them reach the unchurched more efficiently. Daniel spends his off time destroying the opposition in Blizzard’s Overwatch game.
Jeremy Hoff serves as the Administrative Pastor of Shepherd Church, a 15,000-member congregation in Northern Los Angeles County. Jeremy loves to organize ministry. He earned a B.S. of Environmental and Occupational Health during an era when rat droppings and workplace safety were especially interesting. After the call to serve his local church, he has earned a Masters of Arts in ministry from Hope International University. A father of four young children – three bios and one adopted through foster care – he and his wife are closely connected to the world of Foster Care and Adoption and volunteer with their nonprofit to help foster children and the families who love them. He’s a firm believer in God and His Word, happy teams, and the hand-written note.
Eddie serves as the IT Director and Accounting Manager for Fellowship Greenville. He also serves as Rock Administrator. He is passionate about technology and how it can help the church do ministry better. His primary work in Rock is the development of workflows although he dabbles in all areas. He has attended all Rock conferences. Before coming to Greenville, Eddie served alongside his wife, Diane, as a missionary in Bolivia. Most Sundays, you can find Eddie and Diane serving together at an attended check-in station high-fiving K-2nd graders. When Eddie is not at Fellowship Greenville, you can probably find him at a softball game somewhere. He coached high school softball for 15 years.
There’s a good chance you’ll find Shayla on stage performing in a musical, hosting an impromptu pool party or chauffeuring her kids to their activities. Shayla’s belief strength and Enneagram 1-ness motivates her to do work that makes a difference. And there is nothing more important to her than helping churches become more effective in their communications so they can reach more people with the hope of Christ.
Tyler has been on staff at Hillside Christian Church for 6 years. His wife Lindsey and he have been married for 14 years and have 3 kiddos. When he gets the chance he enjoys the outdoors, grilling and a good baseball game.
Rob is the Director of Digital for The Summit Church in Raleigh-Durham, N.C. He and his team oversee the website, app, email, and social media communications for The Summit’s ten campuses.
Tim is an Apple fanatic, coffee drinker, and a tech junkie. He is passionate about serving the local church and helping others use technology to make an impact for the kingdom. Tim is currently the Communications Pastor at Highlands Fellowship, a multi-site church located in VA and TN.
Derek Maxson co-founded Front Porch, a leading provider of Wi-Fi solutions for cable and telecom companies. As a former Executive Pastor, Derek understands some of the challenges that churches face with tech. Away from work, he’s a guitar strummer, mountain biker, tennis top-spinner, and baseball nut with a heart for the Church.
Jim is the IT Manager at The Crossing, a multi-site church in the St. Louis area. He has been involved in the Rock community for 5+ years and has led his church team in running Rock in production for the past three. Jim is a community “Rock Star” and can be found hanging out in Rock Chat almost 24x7 (yes, he needs therapy.)
Michael oversees the church’s finance, human resources, IT, web development, new construction, facilities, missions, and Campus Safety teams. Michael and his wife, Lori, have three children. Michael loves spending time with his family, camping, and hiking. He is passionate about using technology, innovation, and efficient systems to help people meet Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him.
More of a minister than a tech expert, Micah is intensely interested in looking for ways that Rock and technology can help shepherd people towards maturity in Christ. Micah lives in Cincinnati with his wife and three kids.
I was a Software Engineer for 7 years before coming to Northview. Sitting in an office for 8 hours a day writing code wasn’t doing it for me anymore. I really wanted to interact with people and problem solve more. Coming to Northview to lead the migration to a new database system called Rock was a big risk for me, but it has been very rewarding. There is so much to do and sometimes can be stressful, but I can honestly say that I love what I am currently doing. The Rock community is great and I love solving ministry problems with a great tool!
A proud native Texan, Luke has lived in the desert of Phoenix since junior high, and is raising two boys along with his beautiful wife, Meg. Luke has made his career around equipping ministries and ministry workers for excellence through technology. In the past few years, because of the RockRMS community, Luke has felt God's call to move from being "the guy in the back of the room" to a much more "front of the room" role.
Serving as the IT Trainer and Project Manager at Fellowship Greenville, Debbie has the joy of working with end users, super users and developers. Beginning with FG right at the time Rock was launched, Debbie soon learned the benefit of Master Class, online documentation, SLACK and Rock U. When not working with Rock or ensuring she is current in HR and project management, Debbie and her husband Bob travel to spend time with their children and four grandchildren.
I have worked full time on our Rock database for the past year and half. I work with our ministry staff to improve processes to focus more on discipling the flock of God and less on the checking of boxes. I have been married to my amazing wife for 6 years, and we have a 3-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter.
Matthew lives in Williamston, SC, with his beautiful wife Kristine, his 3-year-old daughter Abbye, and 2-year-old daughter, Alston. He loves the Atlanta Braves, Florida Gators, and cutting his grass! He's been on staff at NewSpring Church for over 7 years, and he has a passion for people finding their identity in Jesus!
Morgan is a 25-year-old, self-taught Rock nerd, working at Hillside Christian Church in Amarillo, Texas. After getting a degree in Business Marketing at Pacific Lutheran University and serving for a year on the World Race, Morgan jumped in and learned the ropes of Rock. Morgan has a passion for creating processes that are scalable and efficient so that ministries can have more time to serve the people. When she’s not building new workflows, you can find her at the movies with her friends or playing with the cutest dogs in town.
Chuck has been a Software Engineer at Southeast Christian Church since 2015. He has a background in web application development and is familiar with an assortment of languages including PHP, Java, and C#. He spends his time away from the office with his wife and four kids and loves camping and snowboarding.
Mark Burleson is the Director of IT Support at Life.Church which provides technical support for staff and volunteers throughout all 33 locations. He and his wife, Alecia, live in Tulsa, OK with their children Ben and Katie.
As churches grow in size and complexity, equipping people and developing reliable systems proves to be essential for sustainability. As the Project Manager for Ministries at CedarCreek Church, Jason is responsible for helping to remove road blocks for his team, engage in cross department communication, monitor deadlines, budget and assist in future development planning in order to help teams of staff and volunteers do what it is they do best and spend more intentional time with guests.
Mark is a Software Engineer at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. He has been a nerd since birth and involved in ministry including youth and family ministry for many years. He has four young sons with his wife. His favorite activities are playing Kerbal Space Program, Star Trek: Attack Wing, and woodworking.
I've been on staff at Watermark since 2006, and before that spent my time as the IT Director at another church, in professional services for a software company, and for one of the big accounting firms. I love what I get to do here at Watermark and more importantly love the role I have as a husband and daddy to my girls.
I’ve been on staff at Southeast since 2003, and my main responsibilities have centered around systems integration, reporting, database administration/optimization, and church management migrations. I have worked in a variety of different industries including healthcare, logistics, education, and supply chain management. My family of 9 enjoys camping, sporting events, and time on the lake.

I've been married for 33 years to Nancy, and we are parents of three adult children and grandparents to one grandchild. I worked as a software engineer for Boeing for 10 years before joining the ministry team at Calvary Church in 1995 as Children's Pastor. I led ministry, operational, finance and leadership teams in my almost 25 years at Calvary. I like to teach and facilitate discussions regarding the intersection of the church, the gospel, theology, and our culture. I know a Rockstar (Shawn Ross) personally.
Josh is Innovations Director at The Creek Church, a multi-site church in southeast Kentucky, where he is tasked with identifying and evaluating ways to make the Church better. When Rock was identified as a clear winner in this category, he headed up the church’s transition and now provides best practices concerning Rock usage to the ministry departments of the church. He has a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering and recently completed his Master of Arts in Theology.
Tyler leads the Information Technology team at Life.Church that equips staff members across 33 locations with the technology needed to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. Tyler is passionate about leveraging technology to see lives changed and giving volunteers the ability to use their technology skills to build the church. He and his wife, Nicole, live in Oklahoma City with their children Tripp and Harper.
Danielle is the Database Specialist at Christ the King Church in Bellingham, WA. She has been on staff at CTK for the last 12 years and has been involved in the Rock community for the past 3 years. When she isn't working on Rock, you will find her spending time with her husband and 3 kids enjoying the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Greg has a passion for engaging leaders and churches for significant health and impact. He has been an Engineer, Staff pastor, Lead pastor, Planting pastor, Business & Church Consultant, Statistics professor, Psychometrician, Coach, Author and Assessor. He has degrees in Industrial Engineering, Business, Divinity and Psychometrics. Greg has been married for 42 years to his lovely wife, Mary Kay and they have three married children with seven grandchildren, and this is the role he enjoys most!
Tommy Politz has served as the Senior Pastor of Hillside Christian Church since November 2005. He has previously served churches in Texas, Mississippi, and Georgia. Tommy graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a double major in Management and Entrepreneurship. He is also a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree in Biblical Languages and a Th.M from Duke Divinity School. Tommy and his wife, Donna, have three children--Grant, Rebekah, and Cole. Hillside Christian Church has ten Texas campuses located in Amarillo, Dalhart, Canyon, Lubbock, Big Spring, Levelland, Pampa, and one in Clovis, New Mexico.

John Pitzaferro is Chairman and CEO of TransNational Payments, a leading privately held payments technology company and processor for merchants, financial institutions and large corporations. The Chicago Tribune has named TransNational as one of the top 100 places to work in Illinois for multiple years. Passionate about community involvement and faith, Pitzaferro founded two other organizations, MyWell Ministries and Party with a Purpose. In 2013, John co-founded Vision96, an independent consulting firm that leverages a network of business and technology experts to develop customized solutions for businesses. Taylor started Simple Donation in 2011. He lives in Austin, TX with his wife and three kids. He loves running, pickleball, and writing software.
Working with Rock has helped me discover my passion for using technology to help empower the church to fulfill God’s mission! I have a thorough familiarity of The Office (U.S., of course), and I love to make people feel empowered to do what God has called them to do. I get way too excited about getting to do what I do every day.
Jason has been involved in the church world for 15 years, serving on the leadership team with a mega-church and as a consultant with dozens of churches around the country. These days, as he leads Missional Marketing, the team works with over 250 churches around the country with their digital ads, SEO, and communications.
After getting injured in the Navy, Chris found Jesus, found his elementary school sweetheart, and her home church - Traders Point Christian Church. He started his career over again in technology and was privileged to work in some exciting, early-stage software companies in the Indianapolis area like T2 Systems and Bluebridge Digital. As those companies grew, Chris was fortunate to assume various leadership roles running Operations and Technology. As a consummate volunteer, Chris ran the Ministry for Children with Special Needs and the Safety Ministry, among other volunteer roles at the church. Chris was surprised one random weekday when his Executive Pastor took him to coffee - Chris thought he was going to ask for some technology advice - but really he was offered a job as the CIO for the church. Chris has to pinch himself every day because God has provided an awesome family, some relief to his injuries, and an amazing job.
Mark Kitts was a founding pastor at a church in North Carolina that grew from 0 to 2000 while he was on the lead team. Mark founded People Driven Software, a church management software company in 2002. PDS merged with Elexio in 2009. He served as the Lead Software Architect and then as CEO at Elexio.com. Mark and his wife DeeDee have been part of several church plants. He’s a coffee connoisseur and likes cake and pie. He’s tortured by his loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys. He was kicked out of multiple Sunday School classes as a preacher’s kid.
Amanda currently serves as Data Systems Coordinator for The Woodlands United Methodist Church in The Woodlands, TX. After 15 years of private sector work in sales and management, Amanda joined TWUMC staff in Children’s Ministry in 2016. After the churchwide Rock rollout, she was excited to move into the database team in order to expand Rock usage and knowledge across campus. Born and raised in Southern California, Amanda has called Texas home since 2004, where she lives with her husband Jason and daughter Emily.
After spending 15 years in education technology, Stuart came to the ministry and has spent the last two years as the Director of Innovation and Technology at Lake Pointe Church. His focus at Lake Pointe has been to help ministries see where they can innovate in ways that will advance the kingdom. He and his team focus on delivering a high level of customer service and on being a resource of innovation. Stuart, his wife, and four children live in Rockwall TX.
After attending Lake Pointe Church since 1996, Janet came on board as a staff member in 2003 for the Missions department. Through the years, she worked in several departments and finally settled into the role of Director of Database Services for the Technology team in 2007. She is passionate about learning new ways that technology can assist the Lake Pointe team and can help the ministries accomplish projects together. Janet is married to her high school sweetheart, Richard, and has 3 adult children and two beautiful granddaughters.
I am a father of 4 wonderful children and been married to my beautiful wife for 14 years. I have been blessed to work at Protect My Ministry for the past 12 years and love helping churches with their security and technology needs.
Dave has served the Church in a variety of roles including Connections Pastor, Middle School Pastor, Worship Leader, church-planting Project Manager, Community Outreach developer, and many years as an Elder on several church boards. Moving frequently, he’s gained insight from many different types of churches in a variety of contexts. Dave's current work with Healthy Growing Leaders involves creating and refining assessment instruments, developing comprehensive reports, and building delivery systems for TrueWiring and TrueWiring4Churches. He’s been married 31+ years to Zoë Hale and together they have four adult daughters. Dave & Zoë are both retired Air Force officers living in Anderson, South Carolina where they are actively involved in supporting helping agencies throughout the Upstate through their Community Resource Guide.
Taylor Cavaletto has been working on Rock since he was still a student at Arizona State University 5 years ago. He currently works at BEMA Information Technologies as a software developer. In his down time, he likes playing board games and solving escape rooms.
Brian has served on the Web Team at NewSpring Church since May of 2013 and is passionate about developing ways to leverage technology to help people connect to Jesus and each other. He lives in Clemson, SC with his wife Danielle and son Baylor. He loves learning new things, photography, and being outside.
As the Site Reliability Engineer for IT at Life.Church, Brandon enjoys using the skills and talents God has gifted him to reach people for Christ. He is responsible for providing a highly available and reliable environment for Rock to run to support 33 different locations. He has been married to his wife, Danielle, for 18 years and they live in Oklahoma City with their 4 daughters.
Jon has over 15 years experience working in the church nonprofit space with a focus on web & app technology. He currently serve as Technology Director at My Well Ministry, a nonprofit that provides online giving software and at-cost payment processing to churches and nonprofit ministries.
Kyle Goggin has been writing software professionally for almost fifteen years. As a Senior Javascript Engineer at My Well Ministry, he's using tech like React, GraphQL, and ReasonML to build a giving platform for faith-based nonprofits. When he's not coding, Kyle enjoys hanging out on the beach with his wife and four kids near his home in Charleston, SC.
Tim Cool is founder of Cool Solutions Group, and has assisted nearly 1,500 churches throughout the United States with their facility needs. He has collaborated with churches in the areas of facility needs analysis, design coordination, pre-construction and construction management as well as life cycle planning/facility management. Cool Solutions Group is also the developer of eSPACE Facility Management software products including Event Scheduler, Event Registration, Work Order Management, Life Cycle Calculator and HVAC integration.
I am a 30 year old, Graphic Designer from Portland Oregon. I have worked on staff at Beaverton Foursquare for 9 years as a Communications designer and the last year and a half leading the charge with Rock. When I’m not creating awesome things, you can find me going on epic adventures throughout the Northwest.
Jeremy Henderson is the Next Steps Pastor for Lake Pointe Church, where he oversees the assimilation process for 6 English campuses, 3 Spanish campuses, and the internet campus. Jeremy is passionate about equipping staff and volunteers to clearly share the gospel with Lake Pointe attenders. He’s married to Kate and they have 3 kids.
As a former territory sales manager for 12 years with one of the most successful companies offering a full-suite Church Software solution, Keith understands the needs of the church staff & volunteers with regard to technology. Having joined the Intulse team in 2016 he loves the ability to help organizations add their telecom to the mix of integrations that benefit the Kingdom.
About 20 years ago Darren was part of a small group of men with a big vision for how good & affordable technology could be used by the Church to positively effect millions for the Kingdom. That company led in part by his vision and programming skilsl became one of the premier offerings in the space. He loves to live where technology and ministry intersect.
Nick, the Commissioner (or ‘Commish’) of the Rock Community, has been with the Rock team since before there was a Rock. Recently transitioned to the Rock core team, he was previously developing and managing projects at Central Christian Church in Arizona.
Michael was a part of the Rock community since v1, and left his architectural design career to join Spark in 2018. In his free hours, you'll find him either playing through a respectable (but growing) board game library with his wife and two kids, helping his church and other nonprofits with Rock and other tech, or outdoors enjoying the forest (with the occasional quadcopter flight to keep things interesting).
Mike Peterson has been working on Rock since 2012, when he was part of the development team at CCV. In 2017, he joined the Sparkability Group as a full-time Senior Developer. He lives in Peoria, AZ with his wife of 24 years, their three kids and three cats.
Ben has worked in the ministry sphere since 2013 and is passionate about bringing technology to the Church. He lives in Greenville, SC with his wife and two kids, where he enjoys running, woodworking, and writing software.
Jason has a degree from the University of Houston in Computer Engineering Technology, but quickly found that he desired more in-person interaction than that career path had in store for him. Jason has been helping churches implement Rock for many years and enjoys analyzing complex processes and piecing together tailored solutions. He's a good Samaritan, washed-up athlete, and an especially gifted napper. He lives in Houston, TX with his wife and two young boys.

With over 15 years experience in Design/Development/Marketing in multiple industries, Marcus brings a unique point of view and understanding of the end user and how to give them the best experience going 0-60 on the web and mobile. Marcus shares his love of design, engineering and all that is visually striking and goes fast with his wife and kids.
After 15 years as a discipleship and executive pastor, Ryan joined the Pushpay team in 2017. He resides in Lexington, SC, and can be found most weekends on the lake or cheering on the Clemson Tigers with family and friends.
Michael Roth, founder of Divine Tech, stumbled upon Rock RMS while searching for a platform that could help his local church. He quickly fell in love with the Rock community, and felt a call to assist other churches in building the Kingdom of God by utilizing Rock more fully. Michael and his awesome wife Laura live in Kansas with their three children: Breckyn, Asher, and Olivia.
Heiko Henning leads client relationships and client success, collaborating with product management to define customer needs and long-term product and solution portfolio, and identifying and executing key partnerships and channel relationships. In particular, Mr. Henning aspires to apply these skills in working with non-profits and start-up technology companies that serve the non-profit market. His experience cuts across business strategy and technology enablement at companies including Blackbaud, Lante, and Trilogy. He holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Mr. Henning has volunteered for various non-profit organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, the ASPCA, the South Carolina Aquarium, and the Coastal Conservation League. He has a passion for the environment, digital photography, and kite boarding.
Jennifer has worked at Redemption to the Nations for the past seven years in many different capacities. She not only manages the Rock RMS system for RTTN, but also manages a separate instance for the Ruach Global Network and Ruach Conferences. She loves creating solutions and systems to empower pastors and leadership teams to function at their highest capacity in their area of ministry. One of her greatest passions is outreach and missions, where she serves to bring about community transformation in Chattanooga, TN, alongside her husband, Gary, who is the Share Pastor at RTTN.
Amy started working with OnlineGiving.org in late 2017. She was previously on staff at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship Church in Operations and Finance where she served for nearly a decade and a half. She is a Texas native and loves geeking out on all things process and operational related.
