Other Email Services

Is it possible to use other email services besides Mandrill? Thanks!

Sure, I don't use Mandrill, I just use our normal SMTP server. Or do you have a specific service in mind you'd like to use?

We use Bluehost for our web hosting. Can we use that? How do I set that up?

Looks to me like it should work- check out my.bluehost.com/cgi/help/26 (scroll about halfway down).

In Rock you should be able to go to "Admin Tools" -> "Communication" and click on "Communication Transports". Then select "SMTP". Enable the transport, then provide your username and password, plus the appropriate server address (mail.yourdomain.com). They almost certainly use port 25, and no SSL.

I don't know if they have other DNS settings you need to create for verification, validation or whatever. Nor do I know what their limits might be: check with their support. But Rock can use their SMTP servers just like any other e-mail program.

I am not able to select anything else except Mandril SMTP. Am I missing something?

    Hey Greg,

    Did you get this sorted?
