0 Finances: other gateways 4 Michael Garrison posted 9 Years Ago Our church is already set up with a different online giving option, SecureGive. Is there any way to add this gateway to the list of gateways that can be downloaded from? I don't see the option to add a gateway. And while I'm on the subject, our old ChMS allowed the importing of a CSV list of transactions- could that potentially be added as a gateway (or other mechanism) to allow the importing of other arbitrary financial transactio data (especially since nobody seems to provide the drivers I need for our check scanner)? That might be a generic enough gateway that people like myself could massage the data from unsupported gateways and get it into Rock...
Michael Garrison 9 years ago Fantastic- this will meet our specific needs perfectly once it's ready, thanks! =)
Michael Garrison 9 years ago OK, thanks for the SecureGive information- though that's disappointing. Maybe some pressure from paying end-users would help (long shot)...I'll see who we can send a message to. In the meantime if it's OK I'll leave this unanswered to see if there's any way for us to add arbitrary data from other sources (like the csv file option I floated). Is anyone else using the financial parts of Rock yet, and if so are you really doing all external transactions one-at-a-time?
Jim Michael 9 years ago Just jumping in to say that Rock is fully extensible, including payment gateways, and should be able to integrate with just about any financial gateway, IF they have an API that is usable and stable... no source code necessary, as Rock doesn't need to incorporate code from anyone else, it just needs to know how to talk to their API. The gotcha, as always, is that someone has to WRITE the Rock gateway piece, and as these things often go, the non-coder types have to wait for one to be written or pay someone to write it.
