Give Now Page Customization

We just integrated payflow into Rock -- works great!  We have an existing church website and infrusture that we would like to keep as is - and just reference folks to the giving pages (Give now, giving history) in the rock external site.  What is the best way to remove the rest of the content (menus, links, etc) except for just what we want.  That way from our main church site we could like to the Rock's external site we'll use for giving.

Or is there a much better way to achive this?

Thank you!

Andrew

If you just want to use the default external site and remove the other menus, you can simply modify the security on the top level menu pages to remove "all user" access view rights... But you probably want to add explicit view rights for RSR - Rock Administration security role before doing so. This will cause the menus to disappear for everyone except admins.

That said, most churches want any Rock pages to look similar to the existing web site when integrating in this way. To do that you'll need to modify the site to mimic your own, which may be trivial or complex depending on your site, but should be doable by any  person competent with HTML & CSS.

Thanks Jim - I've adjusted the security settings and are pretty well good except for two pieces:

      1. On the Give now page the site has a menu Home / Give / Give now (it's not a block so I can't change it's security). I can't seem to find a way to either take that out or modify the link on "home" to go to our regular website instead of the default external site "page 1"

      2. We would like to change "credit card" to "debit card" on the giving page.

For #1, it sounds like you are just wanting to get rid of the breadcrumbs. You can do this by going to the Give Now page, then in the admin toolbar at the bottom select the gear (page properties), then Display Settings, then un-check Show Breadcrumbs on Page.

As for #2, that's out of my realm of experience. I'm not sure you can configure PayFlowPro to only accept debit cards and not credit cards. Hopefully someone who knows more about that can chime in.

Thank you Jim -- Removing the breadcrumbs was exactly what we needed! In regards to the credit vs debit - I was actually referencing changing just the text label on the button from "Credit" to "Debit" If you have any insight on that it would be great -- Thanks Jim!

I don't believe the term "Credit Card" can be edited within the block's settings. Pretty sure you'd need to customize the block to make this change (though it shouldn't be difficult.)
